Entertainment Commission Votes on Attacking SoMa Residents this Tuesday

The Western SoMa Community Plan was created by and for the residents of South of Market. Between 2006 and 2011, hundreds of community meetings were held to reach a consensus on land use plans for Western SoMa for the next 20 years.

Now that the Plan is complete, the Entertainment Commission is voting on whether or not to attack and dismiss the years of work and the opinions of SoMa residents this Tuesday at their 6:30 p.m. meeting at City Hall in Room 400. An attack on SoMa residents should not be tolerated, and I want to encourage you to attend this meeting and speak against the Entertainment Commission trying to dismiss years of community meetings in order to shove their non-resident vision that benefits only the entertainment industry down our throats.
