Help South Park Get Funding for New Playground Equipment

From my good friend (and fellow South Beach | Rincon | Mission Bay Neighborhood Association Board Member) Alice Rogers … a request for a letter of support!
Dear SoMa neighbors,
Apropos of the recent discussions on serving kids in our neighborhood, the South Park Improvement Association is applying for Community Opportunity Fund monies now to install new play equipment (targeted for 2—5 year olds) in our fenced, landscaped play area in South Park. Our project is ‘shovel ready’ and can be installed within a year. We could use your advocacy and letters of support to increase our standing in the competition for funds.
This project would not preclude other playgrounds elsewhere in the district that may be constructed in the future…it would simply serve more neighborhood children sooner.
Letters of support should be addressed to the Recreation and Parks Commission and can be sent/e-mailed to me: Alice Rogers, 10 South Park #2, SF, CA 94107.
And to have a direct say in the South Park planning process—in which the kids’ playground is but phase 1 to satisfy the immediate need—please take a few minutes to complete our survey on-line at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/P35F8TV
