No Community in Rincon Hill Yet?

Good article written by Carl Nolte in The San Francisco Chronicle today. You can read it online by clicking here.

It discusses the lack of intensity on the part of the City to transform the Sailors’ Union of the Pacific building on the corner of Harrison and First into a community center for Rincon Hill. One City official apparently said there is no community in Rincon Hill yet.

Although there may only be a few thousand folks who call zip code 94105 home right now, there will be many more very soon. This lack of motivation on the part of the City is another sign that those of us who do live here need to organize and jerk some chains in City Hall to make sure our neighborhood rises in a way that increases our quality of life sooner rather than 10 years from now.
