Oil Spill Clean Up – Volunteer Training Information

On Saturday morning, there is another volunteer haz mat oil spill training opportunity from 8am – Noon at the County Fair Building, Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. Learn more by visiting the SFConnect.org web site.

You can also keep an eye on The Volunteer Center’s web site.

I received a couple of additional suggestions via email from a Rincon Hill blog reader named Bryce. Bryce recommended these additional web resources that I pass along here as educational information only and not an endorsement in any way to attempt cleaning up these hazardous materials outside of the official clean up efforts run by our public entites:

Oil Spill Volunteer Instructions – A summary of what materials one might use to clean up the hazardous materials from our beaches.

My Hazmat Training – A first hand account of what the training is like.

Thank you for the reference information, Bryce!
