Thank you to DPW for new trash cans!

Thanks to the efforts of our South Beach neighbor Michael Anthony and his conversations with Sandra Zuniga at San Francisco’s Department of Public Works, we have a couple of new public trash cans in the Rincon Hill neighborhood to help mitigate the trash that builds up on the corners of Spear Street at Folsom and at Harrison (not to mention they will probably be appreciated by dog owners for a disposal for doggy doo-doo bags). Granted, the cans will get A LOT more use during baseball season compared to this time of the year, I hope you’ll be encouraged to act as a good steward of our public open spaces and to pick up litter/bottles/cups (as long as it is safe to do so) when walk near the area and to dispose of it in one of these cans.
If you happen to go to the South Beach/Rincon/Mission Bay Neighborhood Association meeting on Monday evening (6pm at the Harbor Services Building’s Community Room), be sure to thank Michael for helping us to keep Rincon Hill and South Beach clear of trash! If a DPW representative happens to be there, thank him or her too! 🙂
