Thirst for Political Power Creates Circular Firing Squad in San Francisco

Please remember to vote in tomorrow’s election. For the propositions, I highly recommend checking out the analysis provided in the SPUR Voter Guide.
As an interesting side story, there appears to be some door hangers appearing on doors with a misleading message. The misleading part is that the San Francisco Bay Guardian’s logo appears prominently along with Senator Carole Migden’s photograph on the same printed matter – making a layman believe that the Guardian endorses a slate including Carole Migden, right? Wrong – the SFBG endorsed Assemblyman Mark Leno for the State Senate Democratic ticket.
SFBG Executive Editor Tim Redmond tells his side of the story (scroll down to May 30, 2008 entry titled The Fraudulent Slate Card) … and a comment thread regarding the brouhaha follows. This is what happens when good people get a little too high on political power, in my humble opinion. They start eating their own. This is very sad.
Anyway …. please vote!
