With 250,000 to 500,000 attendees anticipated on the weekends of the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco from July until September 2013, we have an opportunity to make some improvements to our transportation infrastructure in San Francisco. The “People Plan” draft provides the first glance at changes to our transit, bicycling, and pedestrian systems for the America’s Cup event. Changes will hopefully benefit residents in the years following the 34th America’s Cup.

Proposed "People Plan" Transportation Improvements

The four guiding principles of the draft People Plan include:

  • Resource Efficiency
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Strategic Adaptability
  • Positive Legacy
