America's Cup Hosting Probability Increases to 50%

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Spain has been eliminated (for now) from consideration to host the 34th America’s Cup. This leaves San Francisco and an undisclosed city in Italy as the remaining options. Development rights for Piers 30-32, Seawall Lot 330 (where the Watermark condo sits along with parking at the moment), and Pier 50 for the next 50-75 years are part of the City’s offer to host. As always, it will be important for residents to make sure whatever gets developed post-America’s Cup fits into and enhances our community, if we are so lucky to host the event.
