Louise Bourgeois' "Crouching Spider" on The Embarcadero

The sculptures that I affectionately referred to as Whoopee and Weepy have moved on to greener pastures. Replacing Whoopee and Weepy is Louise Bourgeois’ “Crouching Spider” just south of the Amtrak building and north of Pier 14.
Check it out … it is on loan for about 8 months to San Francisco. Bourgeois’ spider sculptures have been displayed at the Tate Modern museum in London and Rockefeller Center in New York in the past. I recommend visiting “Crouching Spider” in the morning (around 8am) to get some cool shadow effects like this:
