With the weather forecasting types telling us we’ll get a break from the rain this weekend, you may be interested in this bike ride tour of the waterfront offered by San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, Livable City, and other wonderful groups:
Blue Greenway / Eastern Waterfront Ride
Sunday, Jan. 13, 10:00 am
Herons Head Park (east end of Cargo Way, near Jennings)
Join this 7-mile bicycle tour of the Port of San Francisco waterfront, from Herons Head Park to Fisherman’s Wharf — learn about the Port’s Open Space Vision and see what Proposition A will do to improve the waterfront. The tour will stop at existing and future parks along the waterfront where advocates and planners will speak about each site’s unique contribution to San Francisco’s eastern shore, how the City plans to connect these waterfront parks, and how these open spaces will benefit from Proposition A. The tour will be followed by a reception and Proposition A Presentation at Fisherman’s Wharf.
To RSVP, for more information or if rain is forecast, please call 415/240-4150 (for those unable to bicycle, a bus will be available; if you would like to tour by bus, please RSVP as soon as possible as seats are limited).
