Charity Event to Aid Haiti's Orphans at Cocoon Urban Day Spa

To Haiti with Love is the name of the coordinated project undertaken by socially conscious businesses Cocoon Urban Day Spa (330 First Street, Second Floor), Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant (330 First Street, First Floor), Slide Lounge (430 Mason Street), and Polk Street Gym (1436 Polk Street) to raise money to help aid orphans in Haiti. According to the group’s flyer, there were already over 350,000 orphans before the earthquake disaster … and that number may have doubled in the aftermath.
You can join in the efforts to raise money for Haitian orphans by attending a charity event at Cocoon Urban Day Spa this Thursday, February 18th starting at 7pm. An evening of music by Edna Love and the Love Toys along with food, drinks, and a silent auction will bring our community together with the proceeds from our $20 individual donations at the door going to the benefit of Haiti orphanages.
Thank Sarah and the rest of the wonderful folks at Cocoon (and Chef Ola Fendert and Maria Hilario-Fendert from Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant) for doing this good work in addition to choosing the developing Rincon Hill neighborhood for their respective businesses on First Street.
