Community Safety Fair on Saturday!

Here’s a flyer to share with your building neighbors about this event on Saturday, October 20, 2012!

From my friend Gary Pegueros:

Hi Neighbors,
Please mark your calendars for Saturday October 20th for the South Beach Safety Fair.
Several safety- and preparedness-related agencies will be available to answer your questions and provide you with valuable information to make sure you and your loved ones are prepared for an emergency, large or small. Invited agencies include:
  • NERT (Neighborhood Emergency Response Team) — see them in action as they practice skills taught in class.
  • Red Cross
  • SF SAFE (Safety Awareness For Everyone)
  • ALERT (Auxiliary Law Enforcement Response Team)
  • Patrol Special Police
  • PG&E
  • Fire King (fire extinguishers)
  • Disaster Supply Center [formerly PrepareUsToday] (emergency supplies)
  • Animal Care & Control
  • and more
The Embarcadero YMCA will join us and provide lawn activities for the kids. And we’ve rented a Jump House!
Watch neighborhood NERTs in action as they practice some of the skills they learned in class. Learn how you can take this FREE training taught by active SF Fire Fighters. For more info on NERT, go to http://www.sf-fire.org/index.aspx?page=859
Date: Saturday October 20th
Time: 9:00am to 1:00pm
Location: South Beach Park and Promenade, located along The Embarcadero between Pier 40 and AT&T Park
Please join us!
