Fun Events Coming Up in the Month of April

Of course the most important event is the Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association meeting a couple of Tuesdays from now, on April 8th at The Infinity. See www.RinconHillNeighbors.org for more information.
There are several other events that I noticed in my latest copy of 7×7 magazine (www.7×7.com) that I want to share with y’all.
April 4, 2008 (through April 12th) – 63rd Grand National Rodeo at the Cow Palace www.GrandNationalRodeo.com
April 7, 2008 – San Francisco Giants Opening Day at AT&T Park
April 8, 2008 – San Francisco Giants Opening Night with a Fireworks show following the game at AT&T Park
April 9, 2008 – Beijing Olympic Torch Relay, route still to be determined (though I would be shocked if they didn’t make use of The Embarcadero between AT&T Park and the Ferry Building). This would probably be a good day to keep your cars parked in a garage just in case protestors get a little out of hand and start damaging property. Let’s hope the SFPD can keep things under control. www.SustainableJourney.org
April 12, 2008 – Japantown’s Cherry Blossom Festival features crafts, martial arts, folk dances, and the crowning of a Cherry Blossom Queen. www.nccbf.org
April 25, 2008 – Bay Area National Dance Week starts at Noon today in Union Square with a giant public conga line. www.danceanywhere.org
April 26, 2008 – SF International Beer Festival at Fort Mason www.SFBeerFest.com
April 27, 2008 – Opening Day on the Bay features more than 150 types of boats on parade.
If you know of other fun events … or would like to maybe plan one for the Rincon Hill neighborhood … please send them my way at RinconHill@Gmail.com
