Halloween Celebration in Mission Bay's Parking Lot A Behind AT&T Park

The City is finalizing plans for a two phase event on Halloween Friday this year (October 31st). The first phase, running from approximately 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., will be a family-oriented, free event according to a story in the San Francisco Chronicle. Phase 2 is an 8 p.m. until Midnight party event that is tentatively going to cost $31 for admission. All the events will happen off of 3rd Street just past Lefty O’Doul Bridge on a seawall behind AT&T Park best known as Parking Lot A.

I’ve discussed the history of this hot potato event in one of my Examiner.com postings in July if you’d like to learn about it.

In the meanwhile, merchants in the south beach area are excited and planning to leverage the post-baseball season foot traffic to their advantage. Let’s hope it is a smashing success!
