No Halloween Party Plans for The Embarcadero – Erroneous Examiner Report

UPDATE: It would seem that there was some miscommunication between the Mayor/Mayor’s Office and the Examiner reporter who penned the article indicating they were tossing the idea of a Halloween on The Embarcadero around in City Hall. According to this SFGate.com blog entry, no such ideas are in existence at the moment.

The Examiner originally printed this story – the Mayor’s Office is exploring holding a Sunday Streets-like party on The Embarcadero (closing the road to vehicular traffic) for an alcohol-free Halloween Party. Sounds like Parking Lot A behind AT&T Park is going to remain the daytime, family-friendly free Halloween event reported earlier this past week or so.

By the way, if you cannot find paper copies of The Examiner newspaper, you can view the current issue online at www.SFExaminer.com. The Examiner newspaper box that I typically get my copy from while walking to work has been empty this week … not sure if it means they are no longer delivering it to the box or, more likely, if the recycling pirates who drive around in junk trucks in the middle of the night are taking all of the copies from boxes to turn in for cash at recycling centers.
