Lace up those ice skates! The ice rinks at Embarcadero Center and, new this year, at Union Square open up for business this Wednesday, November 12th!

The Holiday Ice Rink at Embarcadero Center is located on Justin Herman Plaza and across from our beloved Ferry Building. Head over for the Embarcadero Center Building Lighting ceremony on November 21st starting at 4 p.m. (lighting at 6:00 p.m.).

The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink at Union Square sits on the west side of the Square, across from the traditional Christmas Tree. Head over to Union Square on November 28th at 6 p.m. for the annual Tree Lighting.

Both ice rinks will be operating from November 12, 2008 through January 4, 2009.
Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

If you REALLY like ice skating (or bowling for that matter), you can go to the Yerba Buena Ice Skating and Bowling Center any month of the year.

It’s that most wonderful time of the year! 😉
