Lights Out San Francisco – This Saturday

Have you heard about Lights Out San Francisco?
It is a citywide energy conservation event scheduled for this Saturday, October 20th from 8pm until 9pm where everyone turns off their non-essential lighting for the hour. The event also encourages everyone to install one compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL – which were very cheap at Costco thanks to a PG&E subsidy last time I looked).
Perhaps you could join some of the local restaurants (and bars) offering candle lit dinners as a show of support for this energy conservation event:
When you notice the Bay Bridge’s lights out along with the Transamerica Pyramid and other San Francisco landmarks this Saturday evening, please note that the lights are out to support the Lights Out San Francisco event.
Please visit the Lights Out San Francisco web site to learn more about this event and other ways you can save energy (thereby helping our environment).
