Neighborhood Free Days at Academy of Sciences this Weekend
|June 3, 2009||Posted by jamie under Events||
This weekend (June 5, 6, and 7) at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, admission is free for residents of Rincon Hill (zip code 94105) along with several other South of Market zip codes (94103, 94107, etc.). Each visiting adult is limited to 6 children (sorry, Octo-mom). Also, you’ll need to bring proof of residence in the form of one of the three items listed below …
– Postmarked envelope, postcard, or magazine label with name and date
– Valid driver’s license or ID card
– Utility bill (gas/electric/cable), bank statement, or letter from a government agency that has your name and home address (not a P.O. Box)
The Academy will be open 9:30am – 5:00pm on Friday and Saturday and 11:00am – 5:00pm on Sunday. Last admittance to the Academy on a free admission day is 4:00pm. It will probably be a zoo (pun intended), but your other alternative to get in free is the third Wednesday of each month for something called “Wachovia Wednesdays” (soon to be Wells Fargo Wednesdays, maybe?) or wait until the next zip code 94105 neighborhood free days in late September 2009.
