Plethora of Promotional Events

According to the Examiner, we should expect to see fly-by jets and skywriting in the City’s skies on Wednesday beginning at 11:15 a.m. As part of the promotional spectacle by cellular phone provider T-Mobile, about 100 skydivers will be jumping and landing in four locations around the City, including Justin Herman Plaza at the foot of Market and Steuart Streets.
If that’s not enough promotional gimmickry for you, come back to Justin Herman Plaza on Thursday for The Shack Summer Netogether where a 14-foot tall “laptop” will be set up with a webcam for San Franciscans to flash smiles and dance for folks at a similar promotional set up in Times Square in New York City … and vice versa. I suggest folks do the “Where the hell is Matt?” dance for fun …
As an aside, check out the Andrea Schwartz Gallery (525 2nd Street near South Park) in August (August 5 – August 28, 2009, Opening Reception: Wednesday, August 5, 2009, 5:30 – 7:30 PM) for a new art collection guest curated by Danielle Steele. According to the asgallery.com web site:
