San Francisco Families with Kids Get Appreciation

If you’re a San Francisco parent, you probably want to bookmark the web site www.SFKids.org for information about raising happy and healthy kids in our City.
For San Francisco families with kids, Sunday, January 11, 2009 is the next Family Appreciation Day event. San Francisco families with children enjoy FREE entrance to 32 museums and attractions, plus kids ride MUNI and the Culture Bus Free!
The most notable, in my opinion, free attraction for SF families with children on January 11th is the brand spanking new and reportedly awesome California Academy of Sciences. While I’m having difficulty finding the usual admission price on their web site right now, my memory is that the tickets run around $25 a pop usually.
For those of us in Rincon Hill without kids and who are willing to put up with crowds in order to gain free admission to the Academy, our free days (based on zip code, bring proof) to visit are June 5, 6, 7, 2009 in the spring and Sept. 25, 26, 27, 2009 in the fall.
Isn’t it great to live in a world class City with all sorts of great museums?
