Central SoMa Upzoning Plan – SBRMBNA meeting on Monday!

Hi Neighbors,

Please join us for a high level discussion about the evolving Central SoMa Plan; its implementation will have a huge effect on the character and services available between 2nd St and 6th/Townsend and Market and there’s still time to influence its outcome.

Meeting is at South Beach Harbor Services Building on Monday, November 9, 2015 starting at 6pm and ending at 7pm. The South Beach Harbor Services Building is located between Pier 40 and AT&T ballpark on the water side of The Embarcadero. Anyone is welcome to attend and learn!

If you can, come a little early, or stay a little after the meeting: we’ll have some presentation boards on hand. You can leave notes on cards and if your questions aren’t discussed at the meeting.

Our guests:
STEVE WERTHEIM, City Planner and Plan Project Manager will take questions and highlight:

Public realm amenities ground floor zoning/retail incentives streetscape improvements/alley enhancements open space, referencing the streetscape but also POPOS and possible park site(s)

Building massing key development sites High density sites and med/lower density sites Transfer Development Rights to help retain buildings of architectural interest/character building sculpting for light and air

Public benefits overview

JOHN ELBERLING, a prime mover in TODCO, a development and service provider in SoMa for decades, has been an influential voice in the discussion shaping the evolving plan and will talk about some key elements of his own Community Plan vision and answer questions.

Attached is a flyer for posting.
