SFPD's Southern Station Getting Results


The below listed officers from Southern Station received a Captain’s complementary report for excellent police work performed:

On June 15, 2008 at 8:12 a.m., Officer Cesar Perez was on uniformed bicycle patrol in the area of 6th Street and Minna. Officer Perez noticed a suspicious suspect loitering in a doorway to a hotel. Officer Perez spoke with a man who was on parole. As Officer Perez began to search the person, the person violently pushed away and began running down the street. Officer Perez pursued the suspect. Officers Dong and Cueba (Our new 6th Street Beat Officers), responded as back up. The suspect became trapped in a parking lot at 7th and Mission. The suspect scaled an 8 foot fence with Officer Cueba on his heels. The suspect ran West on Mission street where the officers took him into custody. The suspect was not injured in the arrest and as a result, a substantial amount of crack cocaine and marijuana were located in the his pockets. The officers were commended for their dedication to duty and selfless teamwork, resulting in a dangers drug dealer being sent to jail.
