Benefit for Pedestrian Advocacy Group Walk San Francisco, April 18th

As many of you know, pedestrian safety was the impetus for my concern about my Rincon Hill neighbors that led to me starting this blog in February 2007. My hope was to help build a strong coalition of neighbors, through a neighborhood association or otherwise, to gain some leverage with San Francisco’s City Hall in order to get needed pedestrian safety changes implemented in the Rincon Hill neighborhood sooner rather than later (among other neighborhood benefits that enhance our quality of life).
Walk San Francisco has already helped make positive changes in Rincon Hill and the surrounding area, and we should support their continuing efforts to give pedestrians a voice in City Hall. Walk San Francisco is the beneficiary of an annual party/fundraiser hosted by David Baker + Partners Architects (461 2nd Street #127 @ Bryant) on Friday, April 18th from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. You can expect snacks and drinks, music and friends, art, prizes, and a chance to help make walking around our city fun and safe.
Details about the benefit and links for you to donate (even if you don’t have the time to attend the party) can be found at the David Baker + Partners web site. Thank you!!
