Embarcadero YMCA Seeks Volunteers for their Strong Communities Campaign

One of the crown jewels of the Rincon Hill neighborhood is the Embarcadero YMCA. Their monthly newsletter provides samples of the good work they and their volunteers do.

Among the beneficial programs provided by the Embarcadero YMCA, they offer many wonderful programs for San Francisco youths – keeping them involved, healthy, and in school. Please consider contacting Grace at Embarcadero YMCA about volunteering for or donating to their Strong Communities Campaign …

We want you! Can you spare a few hours connecting with your community and would you like to spend a couple of hours for the next six weeks helping us fund our critical community programs?

Our annual Strong Communities Campaign relies on the generosity of individual volunteers’ time and donors’ generosity to fund the lion’s share of our programs for the community. Each year we ask members and volunteers to help us get the word out about YMCA programs like Youth Chance High School and the After School Programs at Besie Carmichael Elementary School and Canon Barcus Community House.

This year, our goal is $290,000. All of this money goes directly to participants who would otherwise be unable after school. Won’t you ask someone you know if they would like to give? To volunteer, contact Grace Reddy at greddy@ymcasf.org. To donate, or for more information, go to www.ymcasf.org/embarcadero and click on the Donate Now page or the Community Programs page.
