Whole Foods Shoppers – Shop Tuesday, July 1st to Support Arts in the Schools
|June 24, 2008||Posted by jamie under Non-Profits||
For those of you who shop at Whole Foods, please consider holding off your next substantial shopping visit to the store until Tuesday, July 1st. On that day, 5% of the profits of all purchases at Whole Foods will be donated to Young Audiences of Northern California.
Young Audiences of Northern California is part of a national network of 32 chapters and affiliations. Collectively, the Young Audiences network is the largest provider of arts education programs and services in the United States.
In their own words …
Our mission is to make the arts – classical, contemporary and multicultural – an essential part of every child’s education and life.
Our vision is that comprehensive, systemic and sequential arts programs are an essential element in every child’s education and are offered to all children, from pre-school through high school, during the school day, after school and in their communities.
These essential arts programs are enthusiastically supported by national, state and local leaders, school district personnel, teachers, parents, artists, funders, businesses and all who care about children and our future.
If you’d like to support Young Audiences of Northern California and their mission to provide arts education to children in our schools, please consider making a donation to the organization. The local office is located just down the road on Stillman off of Harrison Street (between 3rd and 4th Streets).
