Bryant and Beale Dog Park Clean & Sweep this Saturday

Please join neighbors at the future dog park site at Bryant and Beale Streets this Saturday, July 10th from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. to help clean up the site (picking up trash, removing fennel that likes to grow around here like crazy, getting rid of other weeds and what not) and to let your well-behaved dog get some off leash exercise and play time with other neighborhood dogs.

Last month, at least 4 dogs were out there running around between 9am and 9:45am when I had to leave to go help Public Defender Jeff Adachi’s petition signature gathering effort. It is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and for dogs to enjoy the freedom to run around without you worrying about him or her running into the road.

I believe the official groundbreaking for the project by Caltrans will occur in October … yeah! I think the completion of the park is set for mid-2011 or maybe a little bit later. It is going to be fabulous – our first true blue community open space!

To stay up to date on the dog park, please “Like” the Facebook page for this neighborhood project at http://www.Facebook.com/RinconHillDogPark.

Remember that you are responsible for your dog and any damage/harm caused by your dog.
