Caltrans restores commemorative Rincon Hill plaque
| February 19, 2012 | Posted by jamie under Open Spaces |
Along with the construction of the Rincon Hill Dog Park, our friends at Caltrans also replaced a long gone commemorative Rincon Hill plaque along Beale Street just prior to reaching the park’s entry.

Beautiful job on the plaque. Since everything in our neighborhood feels so new, it was nice to see a nod to the area’s history.
And… it took less than a week for the plaque to be defaced with graffiti. The indulgence in this city toward criminal vandalism as a form of expression is astonishing.
