MARCH 2008 – STATUS UPDATE

New Mini Park on Guy Place

As you may know, a community meeting was held on January 10, 2008, to begin discussions on the development of a new park on Guy Place, located off First Street between Folsom and Harrison Streets. Public comments were recorded to guide conceptual park designs that will be shown at the next community meeting for public review and further comments.

The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department apologizes for the delay in scheduling the follow up community meeting. Extra steps are being taken to fully understand the site requirements for development of this unique site as a public park. The park design concepts will be based on public input as well as consideration for adequate operation and
maintenance.

The Recreation and Park Department appreciates your continued interest and participation in this future park. For more information, please contact Marvin Yee, Project Manager of the Recreation and Park Department, at (415) 581-2541 or email marvin.yee AT sfgov DOT org.
