According to this article by the Chronicle’s Rachel Gordon, the SFMTA approved raising the bus fare from $1.50 to $2.00 per ride for healthy adults beginning July 1st. The fast pass was already set to go up from $45 per month to $55 per month on July 1st, but an additional $5 increase has been tacked on beginning January 1st so the monthly Adult pass will cost $60 in 2010.
I assume the service cuts that included the N-Judah no longer running past Embarcadero Station on the weekends will be put into effect. Since many are concerned about their personal safety on the T-Third Muni Metro line because of the juveniles that often ride that line, some of you might prefer riding a bicycle or riding from Embarcadero Station over to 4th Street (Powell Station) and hopping on a 30 Stockton bus to go to the Mission Bay Branch library or Mission Creek Park.
On a related note, you have to be registered to vote by Monday in order to place a vote on the May 19th special election ballot. I highly recommend signing up for permanent vote by mail status. I received my ballot for the May 19th election a few weeks ago. Also, there’s a Supervisor election for District 6 coming soon (2010).
