October 2, 2015 Event Closure of Portion of Embarcadero Promenade

Please note a temporary planned closure of the waterside of the Embarcadero Pedestrian Promenade on the evening of Friday, October 2, 2015 from about 7pm to 11pm in front of the Waterbar and Epic Steak restaurants.  The restaurant group was very kind enough to give us plenty of advance notice so neighbors can be aware and plan accordingly.

Dear SOMA/Embarcadero neighbors and residents,

We are writing to inform you of a special event on Friday October 2, 2015 at Waterbar and EPIC that will detour some of the public access on the waterside of the restaurants.  I am enclosing a fact sheet as to how the event will operate on that night.

This event is in accordance with our master lease with the Port of San Francisco and our arrangement with BCDC that allows for the restaurants to do up to 12 private events per year that could possibly include some of the public areas.

While some set up and break down will be necessary, the party hours are from 7pm to 11pm.  We will have stationed security on the waterside of the restaurants to direct traffic to the sidewalk which will remain open to the public.  We are also planning on keeping a smaller public access space between the main concrete blocks and the concrete barrier to the water as close to the start of the event as deemed safe.

We will have on site fire marshall as well as multiple restaurant management on staff to supervise the event.

We are planning on posting notices at the closure areas on Tuesday September 29, 2015, approximately 72 hours prior to the event.

Please know that the concerns of being a good neighbor are important to our restaurants.

Thank you.
