Volunteers Needed for Sunday Streets

Sunday Streets returns after the two very successful trial runs in the fall of 2008!

The event closes off sections of streets to motor vehicles so that people can use the additional open space (a rare resource in Rincon Hill for sure) for recreation and healthy activities.

The first Sunday Streets for 2009 is next Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 9am until 1pm, and the route is The Embarcadero waterfront from AT&T Park north through the Rincon Hill neighborhood and on up to Aquatic Park near Fort Mason.

To make this event happen, many volunteers are needed. Please consider giving back 3 hours or so of your time to the community on Sunday, April 26th to help make Sunday Streets a success.

Additional Sunday Streets events (and opportunities to volunteer) coming up in 2009 are listed below.
