New Year's Goals – Get Prepared for the Next Big Earthquake

While you consider goals for 2009, may I suggest that you add to your list attending the six free training sessions offered by the San Francisco Fire Department to help you and your family become more prepared for the next big earthquake? I highly recommend this training to all San Franciscans.
We are lucky to have a very organized and involved NERT Coordinator who lives in South Beach, Shelley Carrol. Once you’ve gone through the training, I recommend that you participate in the drills held in South Beach.
You can learn more about the NERT (Neighborhood Emergency Response Team) training on the SFFD’s web site at www.sfgov.org/SFFDNERT. There are several training sessions coming up, including one in our backyard at SFFD Headquarters at 2nd and Townsend Streets beginning January 14th. To Enroll – Call 970-2024 or go to class registration and provide Name, Phone Number, Location and Start Date of Class
