Comments on Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association Meeting (December 10, 2007)

I’m not sure I’ll get any feedback posted, but maybe an email or two to RinconHill@gmail.com with thoughts on tonight’s meeting? I’m in Philadelphia for my company’s annual meeting and holiday party, and I’m dying to know about how many folks showed up, what topics were discussed, and any other general thoughts about the meeting.

  1. I was disappointed not to see you there, Jamie. The meeting was a good start, attended by about 20 people — a mixture of local business owners, property managers, future ORH owners, current Rincon Hill owners and renters, someone from the planning department, and about 6 real estate agents (such as myself.) I can’t say that any firm decisions were made, except to have the next meeting on February 11th at 5:00. Something is being devised on the website so that people who are interested in the meetings can communicate, which I think would be helpful since I doubt much would happen if the group meets only an hour every two months.

  2. Thank you Damion (and to others who emailed me feedback)! I wish I could’ve attended, but I’m afraid I had to be in Philadelphia for my company’s annual meeting.

That’s too bad they picked 5:00 p.m. again … I’m afraid that excludes a lot of folks who aren’t able to get home until 6:00 p.m. or so. Oh well… glad to hear there was a decent turnout. From what I’ve read, neighborhood associations are a HUGE effort and slow to build up (unless there’s some big issue that unites residents and business owners).

Hope to see you next time, Damion!
