Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association Meeting on Tuesday, July 7th

Please RSVP today to join us at the next Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association meeting and to welcome Robert Beck, Senior Program Manager with the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (Transbay JPA) as our guest speaker. Please share this information with your neighbors on your building e-mail lists.

Bob will show us a video rendering of the Transbay Transit Center as it is currently designed and will walk us through the characteristics of the structures’ various levels, including the four acre park on the top of the structure that our neighborhood desperately needs.

Bob will also have information about the Transbay Temporary Terminal which is coming along and will assume the regional and Greyhound bus functions later this year so that the current Transbay Terminal at 1st and Mission can be demolished to make way for what is being billed as the Grand Central Station of the West. Once the Temporary Terminal is no longer necessary, our neighborhood will benefit again by gaining additional housing and a new park for our community on the land that the Temporary Terminal occupied. The growth of the Rincon Hill neighborhood is very much dependent on the progress and success of the Transbay Transit Center and the linking of Caltrain in the near-term (within next 10 years) and high-speed rail service down the road.
