Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association Meets Tonight

Please join us at the Sailors’ Union of the Pacific’s Library Room (450 Harrison Street) at 6pm this evening (March 2, 2010) to learn about legislation currently under review to help to either stimulate the building of currently approved developments (like the second tower at One Rincon Hill or 201 Folsom) or to incentivize developers who own empty lots (like 45 Lansing and 399 Fremont) to temporarily re-purpose the lots for specific public benefits.
Michael Yarne from the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development has been working on both pieces of legislation, introducing the “developer stimulus” legislation to the Planning Commission in late January and the “green development agreement” legislation to the Planning Commission just last week. He will be the main speaker this evening followed by Steve Kuklin, representing Fifield Companies (owners of the 399 Fremont Street development site), who will discuss some interesting ideas they have for temporarily repurposing the 399 Fremont Street lot until they’re ready to build their condo development.
If you cannot join us this evening, pencil in our April 6th meeting at 6pm also at the Sailors’ Union of the Pacific in the Library Room where we’ll learn about the SFPark program from the SFMTA.
