Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association Meets Tuesday

If you haven’t already done so, please be sure to RSVP if you plan to attend Tuesday’s Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association (RHNA) meeting by sending your contact information to info@rinconhillneighbors.org.

The meeting is being held in the Club Lounge at The Infinity (at 333 Main Street at Folsom). The Club Lounge is on the 3rd floor and is accessible from the outside courtyard off of Main Street.

You can arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. to enjoy refreshments provided by the meeting sponsor Laundry Locker. Steve from Laundry Locker mentioned that he’d hired Mariposa Kitchen to cater – I’d say he’s setting the bar pretty high for future businesses that would like to sponsor refreshments. Good food and drinks aside, one of the main reasons to join the RHNA is to meet your Rincon Hill neighbors who live in other buildings.

The official meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. The main guest is Mike Grisso, Project Manager for the Transbay Redevelopment Plan from the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency that includes about 40 acres of land between Mission, Main, Folsom, and 2nd Streets in the Rincon Hill neighborhood. I believe we may also hear from Rob Black of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce about the possibility of setting up a Community Benefit District in our neighborhood. The meeting is scheduled to end at 7:00 p.m.

As an aside, we may also have a guest from the Stanford Graduate School of Business who is working on a MBA student project about supportive housing and is curious to learn about Rincon Hill residents’ opinions, feedback, and recommendations regarding supportive housing development in the Rincon Hill neighborhood as part of the Transbay Redevelopment Plan.

It should be a great chance to meet your Rincon Hill neighbors, talk about future development plans for the neighborhood, and learn ways that you can get involved to help shape our neighborhood in the future to improve the quality of life.
