Art of Rock at Varnish Fine Art through February 14th

I meandered around the west side of Rincon Hill last night just to see what’s new and what’s gone, and I was happy to see Varnish Fine Art is still offering up wonderful local artists’ works and fine wine to drink while enjoying the art. I believe they may not be at this location much longer due to Transbay Project work, and I hope they can find an alternate space in the Rincon Hill neighborhood IF they do have to move. It is a gem.
Chuck Sperry and Ron Donovan: Signs of Change
On display through February 14, 2009
Closing Party: Friday February 13, 7-10pm
Both floors of Varnish are filled with the art of Rock, courtesy of acclaimed SF artists Chuck Sperry and Ron Donovan of The Firehouse Kustom Rockart Company. Recent original works, including a 32 foot long collage created with Jeff Ross on wood panel and ultra-limited editions printed on Steel and Canvas are accompanied by the entire Firehouse Goldenvoice series of Rock Art posters produced for the Warfield Theater and Regency Grand Ballroom in San Francisco September through December ’08. Signs of Change marks the debut exhibit of this series #1 through #25 in its entirety.
