Noah’s Bagels (400 Howard) Testing Weekend Hours

The Noah’s New York Bagels at 400 Howard Street (at 1st Street, by the BlackRock office builiding) opened up this past Monday, September 17, 2012.
I was completely shocked that they would be open on the weekend when I happened to walk by Sunday afternoon after getting a haircut at the Original Palace Barber Shop on 2nd and Mission.
According to a gentleman at the counter, they are going to open up on weekends for maybe the first 6 weeks to see if there’s justification in opening their doors after the weekday commuter work crowd leaves on Friday afternoon. They are trying out opening Saturdays from 7 am until 2pm and Sundays from 8am until 3pm.
I hope (pray!) that Rincon Hill and adjacent neighbors will think of this Noah’s New York Bagels when in need of some baked goods or casual food for Saturday and Sunday get togethers to help encourage them to keep their weekend hours. Better yet, this Noah’s has a good-sized table area and this would make a great place for some informal meetings or some dot com collaboration. I do believe they have the requisite Wi-Fi Internet hookup!
Please support these folks – make a point to visit and buy stuff on Saturdays and Sundays (even if you just give it away to Louis or one of the other homeless folks you pass by afterwards). Seriously.
