Waterfront Restaurants Tentatively Set to Open at End of January 2008

An article in the San Francisco Business Times (November 23-29, 2007 issue) said that the two Paul Kuleto San Francisco waterfront restaurants in Rincon Park are hoping to open their doors in late January 2008.

The two restaurants sit near Folsom and The Embarcadero, just south of the Cupid’s Span sculpture. They are believed to be the first newly built, standalone restaurants erected in San Francisco in decades. The construction cost is likely to total above $20 million when finished.

The article said the two restaurants will hold near 465 diners in total, including bars and private dining rooms. There will be 100 outdoor dining seats as well. WaterBar will offer seafood while Epic Roasthouse will offer steak and other meats.

I look forward to trying these new restaurants soon – not to mention Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant (below Cocoon Urban Day Spa at 330 1st Street).
