Please RSVP for the meeting.
I’m looking for neighbors to contribute their ideas and their writings to the Summer 2008 Edition of the Rincon Hill Resident Guide. All contributors will of course be given authorship credit in the Guide and a big Thank You from yours truly.
Please meet me at The Toaster Oven at 201 Spear Street on Saturday, June 21st at Noon if you would like to help update the Rincon Hill Resident Guide for Summer 2008. To help me get an idea of how much material to bring, please RSVP for the meeting.
You can check out the Winter 2008 Edition to get an idea of the current sections and content that I pulled together last Thanksgiving and the first few weeks of December.
I hope to make this a fun neighborhood project, and I’d really like to have a few other stakeholders (neighbors, business owners, folks who work in the area) help me to make this a very useful resource for Rincon Hill neighbors.
Do you enjoy writing? Maybe you’re not a writer, but you possess a wealth of knowledge about resources and activities that are in or nearby the Rincon Hill neighborhood that you would like to freely share with your neighbors? Perhaps you enjoy researching topics that have been assigned and then writing about them? Would you be willing and able to translate the guide into Spanish or Chinese? Maybe you just want to come out and glow about the neighborhood’s future prospects to flourish? That’s fine too.
I picked the Toaster Oven on a Saturday afternoon because I want to encourage them to be open for business on Saturdays, it is a pretty good group meeting space (I think), and the sandwiches, cookies, and drinks are fairly affordable for any socioeconomic group. Don’t forget to RSVP for the meeting.
This is a non-commercial effort, so your time and contributions will not be compensated in any way other than author credit and the good feeling that you have building more goodwill in the Rincon Hill neighborhood.
