Rincon Hill's Transbay Block 11A RFP Released

As noted in a posting about the Block 8 RFP, the Tranbay Block 11A RFP was released online today. The RFP asks for applicants who can develop, own, operate, and provide intensive supportive services for extremely low-income and formerly homeless individuals who will reside in the approximately 100-120 studio and one-bedroom units of supportive housing on Transbay Block 11A , located at the Southeast corner of Folsom and Essex Streets.

A pre-submission meeting will be held at the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency office at One South Van Ness Avenue, 5th Floor on Monday, November 17th at 2:30 p.m.

In my personal opinion, it will be important for Rincon Hill neighbors to reach out and to build ties with the folks managing this supportive housing development and to try to do what we can to help the folks who live here to feel welcomed as a part of our neighborhood so that they feel a high level of responsibility to be good stewards and good neighbors as well.
