Transbay Temporary Terminal Community Meeting Tomorrow

Just a friendly reminder that the Transbay JPA will hold a community meeting tomorrow starting at 6 p.m. at The Port of San Francisco offices at Pier 1 (just north of the Ferry Building on The Embarcadero) in the Bayside Conference Room. The temporary terminal construction is set to begin November 1st, and the terminal will be operational until some time in 2014 when the fabulous, new Transbay Transit Center is scheduled to be ready for showtime.

Transbay Joint Powers Authority to Discuss Temporary Bus Terminal Facility at Community Meeting

TJPA to Discuss the Plans Currently Underway for the Facility that will Serve Commuter Traffic During Construction of the New Transbay Transit Center Project

WHAT: The TJPA will host a community meeting Wednesday night to present the plans underway to build a Temporary Terminal bus facility on the block of downtown San Francisco bounded by Main, Folsom, Beale and Howard streets.

The Temporary Terminal will serve as a temporary facility for existing Transbay Terminal bus operations, allowing demolition of the existing terminal and construction of the Transbay Transit Center. This temporary facility is expected to operate from August 2009 until 2014, when the new Transbay Transit Center will open. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall.
