I will enjoy the silence while the Bay Bridge is closed …. but those of you who want to drive east may have to find an alternative on Labor Day weekend.
ACCESS TO FEDERAL AND BRYANT STREETS DURING BAY BRIDGE CLOSURE
During this Labor Day weekend, the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 and will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.
· Access to Federal Street will be restricted during the closure.
· Access to Bryant Street will be maintained, but it will not be a through street.
· During this closure, Access beyond the Sterling Street on-ramp will be controlled by California Highway Patrol (CHP) and San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) and will only be permitted via Access Pass.
