Harrison Street Repaving from Main Street to 8th Street

Rincon Hill residents received a “Notice of Planned Street Excavation” today from Esquivel Grading & Paving Co. The notice indicates that Harrison Street will be ground down and repaved from approximately March 29, 2010 until June 30, 2010 with work happening Monday through Friday, 7am until 3pm and Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 5pm.

The 24-hour emergency contact related to the project is Esquivel Grading & Paving, Inc. at 415-354-4870.

Additional information can be garnered from San Francisco’s Department of Public Works’s Public Affairs Officer, Bill Adams, at 415-437-7038.

The only downside of the repaving without any pedestrian safety enhancements is that the smoother roads might encourage even more excessive speeding by drivers, endangering pedestrians, but we can hope that won’t be the case, eh?
