Speak Up for Pedestrian Safety in Rincon Hill on August 3rd

Join me on Tuesday, August 3rd at Noon at the SFMTA Board of Directors meeting at City Hall, Room 400 to let them that they made pedestrians less safe by adding a second left turn on Folsom Street at Main Street or to just encourage them to focus more on pedestrian safety in the Rincon Hill neighborhood in general. While I can get attention for the issue (see today’s Examiner article titled SoMa residents lead charge against dangerous crossings ), they’re probably getting a bit tone deaf to me because I blast them so often about their agency’s negligence when it comes to pedestrian safety in downtown San Francisco. If you and other new faces came and spoke up at the Board Meeting, it would probably have a greater impact. Of course they meet at a very inconvenient time for 90% of Rincon Hill residents because most folks are at their jobs at Noon on a Tuesday, but we can’t change that (today anyway, ).

Another pedestrian struck today … near Union Square.
