Supervisors Hold Special Meeting on Rejecting SFMTA Budget

The Board of Supervisors is holding a special meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Noon in the Legislative Chamber (2nd floor) of City Hall to discuss rejecting the SFMTA budget.

The agenda is available online for a few more sentences of details.

I assume there will be public comment on this item if you’d like to encourage the Supervisors to reject or allow the current proposed fee increases, service cuts, and diversion of MUNI funds to other City departments to continue.

Caltrain riders might be interested in attending a community meeting at 25 Van Ness Avenue, Lower Level Conference Room at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 27th to hear and provide input on proposed fare increases and service reductions. Learn more online. My understanding is that weekend service cuts might be severe.
